I can only imagine that once again our Scale Day over the weekend of August 17th and 18th was a great success. I cannot bear witness to its triumph because I was away in Anglesey at the time (I did want to attend but it would not have scored me many brownie points). It is, however, such an annual pilgrimage for the scale veterans around the country, that it could not fail to be a hoot.
I have only uploaded one photo to this story, which shows the infamous John Watkins collecting the prize for best landing. To see the rest go to our photo gallery – click here.
By the looks of things, the competition was held at our South Westerly slope at the Mermaid Pool.
Big thank you to Sue Madeley for kindly supplying us with the photos showing the winners of the various categories.
For the record the winners were:-
Best Landing: John Watkins
Best Flight: Dave Lowe
Best Static: Neville Weaver
If you go to our gallery, you will find photographs of other competitions we have held over the years.
