Ant Jervis is organising yet another Scale Weekend for 14th and 15th August at one of our slopes. Scale Gliders are usually in abundance of all types both modern and ancient. It is an event not to be missed.
If you are a modeller and want to come along, we usually start around 10am and finish when the sun goes down both Saturday and Sunday. weather permitting of course. Whilst it is not a formal competition there are usually prizes awarded for best flown, etc. The event has also featured in Simon Cocker’s RCM&E column.
Usually at that time of the year the wind comes from the South West, which means the Mermaid Slope. This year, however, winds have been coming from unusual directions so check out our Club Sites page.
Ant also runs the LMMGA Facebook page, so I am sure he will post there nearer the time, should the meeting not congregate as usual at the Mermaid.
If z usual we are at the Mermaid there is an excellent large landing area for big Scalies.
Come along anyway to watch.
