Mark Ollier Photography “Shoots” to the Next Level

Mark Ollier has been a member of Leek and Moorland Model Gliding Association since he was in the womb, or thereabouts. For those of you who don’t know, Mark was eased into model flying by Ivan Bradbury, who was a teacher originally in the Leek area, when he was many years younger. Mark is an authority on many subjects, having spent his life in the Navy, and then working for Tarmac (I think). He has been taking, and editing some pretty nifty videos which have appeared on our Facebook page, and I thought they warranted a special page. So here they are interspersed at intervals and between textual drivel.

Anyway if you need to know anything about:-

• Campervans (2 or 3 times)
• Mountain Bikes (only 7 times)
• His new FR Sky Transmitter (3 times)
• The latest fast mouldie (100 times)
• Ballast: I have lost count how many times I have heard the story about how Mark swept the floor at an F3F event many years ago by hiding 1lb ballast in his fuselage. The real boys wanted to know how he did it. At this point it is prudent to applaud.

Anyway, Mark has recently bought himself a type of Go Pro. It isn’t a Go Pro, but something similar. I realised this when I saw him with a selfie stick at the PSS Club Comp, which he won Thankfully the stick was pointed at the models rather than he personally.
